Annika Burman is Swedish born, London based, jewellery designer and maker, working in precious metals. With a passion for design, Annika takes inspiration from such varied sources such as early 20th century art, music, graphics, the natural world, and – the often overlooked – natural elegance of many everyday objects and tools, to create contemporary jewellery which combine elegant fluid forms with a certain attitude and sometimes a hint of cheekiness. The distinct designs evolve through the juxtapositioning of contrasting elements and textures and by playing with scale and placement. The jewellery is created in the UK by fusing modern and traditional techniques and the pieces are then hand-finished for attention to detail and a quality that lasts. (more)lg... (more)
