Kelly established her Fine Jewelry and Photo Dog Tag Collection in 1992. She was amongst the first of what was to be known as "private jewelers". It was shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks that she created her signature Sophie Rose Dog Tag Necklaces, named after her daughter Sophie. Dropping her daughter off at preschool everyday with security guards surrounding the school was incredibly stressful. Kelly wanted to keep her close to her heart after the devastating trauma and knew she could create something that no one else had been doing. Kelly's love of photography, aesthetics, fashion, style, & creativity all lead to Kelly Gerber Jewelry brand. Her pieces are a modern keepsake.
