Since I was little I've made things, I went art school and learned metal working techniques of larger metal sculpture and later blacksmithing. After moving to NYC and working in an auction house while taking jewelry classes at some of the city's great institutions for the craft I started making pieces in my Brooklyn apartment.  Inspiration is always drawn from people around me, on the streets of NYC where I'm always in awe of the beauty of so many different styles. I'm all over the city regularly as a mother of two young boys, always on the move, in and out of the city's museums/parks feeling the heartbeat of NYC. My pieces have been seen in Vogue, Elle, Style.com as well as for the Victoria’s Secret fashion show Gilded Angels. Adorning the angels Doutzen Kroes, Candice Swanepoel, Behati Prinsloo, Lily Aldridge, my pieces of golden jewelry. I've also collaborated with brands like Absolut Vodka, Jack Daniels and other designers creating capsule collections always seeking to make pieces that are sculptural and easy to wear. After I became a mother, I've taken my pieces to a more personalized place where I am working directly with clients to design custom wedding and sometimes just everyday occasion jewelry using heritage stones or diamonds as well as offering options to make pieces from my line more intimate. As a longtime resident of Red Hook, Brooklyn, my studio sits along the banks of the East River, I take pride in making affordable handcrafted in NYC jewels for everyone. Katherine Lincoln jewelry is created and designed in Red Hook, Brooklyn along the East River of New York City. The line seeks to create unique timeless pieces from high quality materials. Fashion forward yet timeless, my signature style and inspiration come through in sculptural pieces that range from statement to more delicate pieces that lend themselves to layering for visual impact. Diamonds and semi-precious stones are juxtaposed in a mixture of fine metals using strong textures created with ancient labor-intensive techniques to make each piece a unique work of chic wearable art imbued with human touch. Ranging from custom wedding and everyday occasion jewelry to simple personalized pieces the line seeks to create pieces that are heartfelt and worn for generations.
