Luxury brand Leggero Bijoux was founded in 2018 catering to private clients, creating made-to-order jewelry – from vintage or heirloom jewelry redesign to custom engagement rings. Leggero Bijoux decided to expand and create a line that redefines luxury jewelry for the contemporary woman. Mother and daughter duo, Mimi Illouz and Sienna De L’Orpaz carefully design and draw inspiration with the Leggero woman in mind – a self-validated, powerful woman with a fierce sense of style. At the heart of Leggero Bijoux lies elevated classics, and contemporary essentials with a distinctive aesthetic that exude elegance, luxury, and edge. A family run company, Leggero Bijoux specializes in diamonds, pearls, and gemstone jewelry bringing you a wide range of designed bijoux, and offers custom design services for those looking for something more personal, and less conventional. Leggero Bijoux was created with the Leggero woman in mind – a self-validated, powerful woman with a fierce sense of style. We bridge the gap between classic and contemporary, creating timeless pieces that can be passed down for generations. We don’t want to create a fleeting experience – we create heirlooms. Leggero Bijoux opened its doors to a luxury jewelry world by a mother-daughter duo. Both from the fashion industry, Mimi Illouz began her career at the famed Shenkar College of Engineering and Design, and subsequently began designing for some of the biggest brands in the world; years later, she left the industry to become a full-time artist, travelling the world and winning many accolades and awards throughout her career; and more recently she began designing jewelry, and redesigning heirlooms for private clientele. Daughter Sienna De L’Orpaz began her career similarly when she enrolled at Accademia Italiana Arte Moda to study fashion design, and subsequently began designing for luxury brands and hotels, writing for fashion magazines, and ending up as a fashion editor; after graduating from Columbia Business School, she decided to join her mother in creating Leggero Bijoux – a jewelry line that was born between classics and fashion. Living and growing up all over the world – from Morocco to Thailand, to Hong Kong, Singapore and Israel – Leggero Bijoux possesses a distinctive intercontinental element as they draw inspiration from the places they’ve lived and travelled.
