Snowflake Studs - Elizabeth Buenaventura

I studied Art, Medicine and Business. Now I’m a jewelry designer. You must be wondering how that happened. Let’s start from the beginning… I was born in Connecticut, raised in Santiago de Chile and now live in NYC. I have always been creative. As a kid I would collect Faber Castell pencils. I had every “how to” creative book from Barns & Noble. When I finished High School, my Dad told me: “Elizabeth, you’re a smart girl. Please don’t be an artist”. That’s when my career saga started. While studying Business I felt there was something creative missing in my life. So I decided to take a jewelry course. During my first class I learned how to make a sheet of silver 950. After that day, I was sold. I had found my passion. One Sunday morning a month before finishing my Masters, while still in bed with my computer, I bought a one way ticket (with miles) to New York. A few months later, I moved to NYC with a suitcase and a dream. Upon my arrival to New York, I learned the ins and outs of the business by working for different jewelry companies. After a few years, I quit my 9 to 5, to share my passion with the world. I won first place in the CASE Awards of Jeweler’s of America and was nominated as a finalist in the Alternative Bridal Engagement 101 contest. Elizabeth Buenaventura has been featured in renowned fashion magazines such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazar, Issue, InStyle and Revista Caras. I regularly have Trunk Shows at Bloomingdale’s, high-end cruise ships and small luxury boutiques. The collection is currently sold at luxury retailers nation wide.
